The Year of the Fire Horse

The year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese zodiac starts February 17th, 2026.

It represents: independence, restlessness (in a good and bad way), charisma, speed, and refusing boundaries. Horse years tend to be LOUD, FAST, and OPINIONATED – perfectly me. Things are going to happen. People are going to move cities, start fights, fall in and out of love, burn and build bridges, and shift identities – all while sprinting toward something new.

Energetically, horse years are about breaking free from constraints. With the year of the Fire Horse being even more energetically charged. Think of a previous year of the Fire Horse, 1966. The Civil Rights Movement was gaining traction, the U.S. began to unravel during the Vietnam War, the Black Panther Party was founded in Oakland, CA. The times they are a-changin’, and we are changing with them. Whether or not we like it.

One thing to note before we shift into the Year of the Fire Horse is to avoid the following: impulsivity, burnout, running away rather than working through, and mistaking speed for clarity.

All in all: choose freedom, but own the consequences.
